How do I play?
The first launch walks you through it. You can read the rules or replay the tutorial any time from Menu (the ••• button) > How to play.
- Place the card in your hand on a trestle: an empty one, or on top of a lower card.
- Play the same rank as the top card to cash the trestle out for points and a token.
- Cards in a row, like 4 5 6, multiply the payout. Aces go on anything.
- Shuffle swaps your card when you are stuck. The run ends when the deck runs out, or when you are out of shuffles and your card fits nowhere.
- Spend tokens at the Merchant, which opens right after a cash-out.
Does Trestle cost anything?
No. There are no ads and no in-app purchases. Tokens are earned in the game and can only be spent in the game.
Where is my progress saved?
On your iPhone. Closing the app keeps your current run. Deleting the app, or Menu > Clear all data, erases runs, scores, and settings from the phone.
Each finished game is also saved with a random id for that phone, with no name or email. Signing in with Apple or Google (Menu > Profile) adds those games to your account. Signing in is optional; the game plays the same offline.
How do I delete my account?
Menu > Profile > Delete account. It removes your account and everything stored with it from the server right away. The games on your phone stay there. You can also email us and we will delete it for you.
Can I turn off analytics?
Yes: Menu > Share anonymous usage data. See the privacy policy for what is sent when it is on.
